GUAIFENESIN WITH PSEUDOEPHEDRINE - ORAL CAPSULE, TABLET (gweye-FEN-eh-sin WITH sue-doh-eff-ED-rin) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Deco-D, Duratuss, Maxifed, Sudal, Venbid, Zephrex USES: Guaifenesin is an expecotrant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal cognestion.
This combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illenss. HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth. It should be swallowed whole. Do not crsuh or chew the medication. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taekn with food or milk. Take this medication as directed.
Do not rasie the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed.

It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve conegstion. SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication.
If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: Tell your dotcor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. This drug sohuld be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and beneftis with your doctor. It is not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your docotr before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medictaion you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication for high blood pressure.
Tell your doctor if you have taekn any MAO inhibitors in the last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. Do not satrt or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison conrtol center or emergency room immediately.

Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, and seiuzres. NOTES: Do not sahre this product with others.

MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usaul dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature bteween 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight.

Do not stroe in the bathroom.
